Page Industries (PAGEIND), incorporated on Nov. 15, 1994, is engaged in the development and production of high quality underwear for men, women, and children and is a licensee of Jockey International Inc. (USA) for manufacturing and distributing the Jockey brand in India and Sri Lanka. It has been promoted by the Genomal group with companies who have been licensees for the Jockey and Speedo brands in the Philippines since 1959 and 1988 respectively. The product portfolio includes innerwear for men like inner tees, vests, briefs, trunks; innerwear for women like brassieres, panties, crop top/sport top, camisole, legging, spaghetti top; socks like dress, casual and sports; thermal wear like men and women; lounge wear/relax wear such as bermudas, boxers, jersey pants; and casual wear like round neck T shirt, polo shirts. Located in and around Bangalore, the manufacturing units have developed capacities to produce over 1 million socks, 6.3 million meters of garters, and over 31 million pieces of garments and have firmed up further expansion plans. Independently audited and approved by internationally recognized Intertek Testing Services (ITS) for Safety and Production systems, the company has also been certified by the USA based Worldwide Responsible Apparel Production (WRAP) and awarded a Certificate of Compliance - A Level till Sep. 12, 2010. It has entered into a trademark license agreement dated Jan. 01, 2005 with Jockey International to acquire the exclusive right to use the Jockey International trademark in India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh and Nepal for manufacture of licensed products and also the right and license to manufacture, contract from manufacture, distribute, market and promote, sell through approved distributors, wholesale and retail the licensed products and to use in connection with the manufacturing of the licensed products. Distribution channels such as chain stores, multi brand outlets (MBOs), hosiery stores, multi-purpose stores and exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) are utilized by the company to market its products. By August 2008, it had opened 38 EBOs across major cities in India. The EBOs are expected to contribute approximately 9% to the total revenue and will create more awareness on the product among consumers. It already has over 144 distributors and over 14,000 retail stores. Underwear and sportswear are exported worldwide to customers including Jockey licensees in Europe, Middle East, and Asia, Jockey UK, Jockey USA, as well as other top class underwear brands.
