Nahar Poly Films, formerly known as Nahar Investments and Holding, a part of the Rs 20 billion Nahar Group was incorporated in 1988. The other Nahar Group companies include Nahar Industrial Enterprises (NIEL), Nahar Spinning Mills (NSML) and Oswal Woollen Mills. The Nahar Group also owns brands like Oswal, Monte Carlo and Canterbury. Nahar Poly Films is mainly engaged in the manufacture and export of hosiery and knitwear. The company also manufactures and exports cotton, polyester and other specialty yarns. It exports to countries such as US, Canada, UK, Germany, Dubai, South Korea, Malaysia and other South Asian countries. Nahar Poly Films has plants located at Ludhiana, Sangrur and Patiala and has installed capacity of 153,664 spindles. Recently, the company separated its textile business and transferred it to the Group Company, NSML.
