Lakshmi Precision Screws (LAKSMIPR) was incorporated as a private company on December 27, 1968 and converted into a public company on August 20, 1971.The company is engaged in manufacturing fasteners. The company`s product range includes standard cold forged high tensile fasteners in over 6,000 varieties; a comprehensive range of special high tensile bolts/screws, studs, nuts, and special cold forged components; and the TORX drive system, which provides a simple, cost-effective solution to the problems inherent in the process of installing and removing fasteners. LAKSMIPR has a licensing agreement with Textron Inc., USA for manufacturing and marketing the Torx brand of proprietary products.
The company has its manufacturing units in the Rohtak district and Gurgaon in Haryana with a combined installed capacity of 16,067 MTPA. Recent awards include the Silver Award for Manufacturing Excellence in the Emerging Engineering category during IMEA 2006 (Indian Manufacturing Excellence Awards) and the 1st runner up award in North West Qualtech Awards 2006 conducted by PTU`s Gian Jyoti School of TQM and Entrepreneurship. LPS-Bossard, a joint venture company between the company and Bossard of Switzerland, gives state-of-the-art fastening and technology solutions to customers in India. The Recoil business division of the company is the sole master distributor of fastening solutions from Alcoa Fastening Systems, USA. Lakshmi Precision Screws is a major supplier to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and caters to Maruti, Telco, HMSI, TVS Motors, John Deere, Mahindra, Volvo, Suzuki Motorcycles and other majors.
