Share Prices and Day Trading Update for the Previous Day
Profit taking near resistance levels, subdued global cues and a heavy sell-off in the IT sector ahead of third-quarter earnings announcement from Infosys early next week has been a culprit for the dragging of the Indian shares downward on Thursday. The benchmark Sensex slipped into the red and ended at 17,616, down 85 points or 0.48%, while the Nifty fell 19 points or 0.35% to 5,263.

• The Unique Identification Authority of India is Government of India department which is responsible for implementing the envisioned Multipurpose National Identity Card or Unique Identification card (UID Card) project in India. UIDAI is aiming to provide unique number to all Indians which will not be normal smart cards. The authority would provide a database of residents containing very simple data in biometrics. A few vacancies are being advertised and one can apply for them to be a part of the unique program under Mr Nandan Nilenkani.
