However if the level of 4900 is broken on the lower side than one is likely to see a level of 4850 and if further weakness persists than index can fall to the levels of 4680-4700. Now one needs to see that whether the present Dubai financial crisis will act as a trigger for another sell off or provides an opportunity to accumulate the quality stocks. Thus do keep the support and resistances under the surveillance as these are the marks where one can see the signals before hand in the mkt.

However globally not much upheaval has been seen; however same is not reflected by CBOE volatility index which tracks global nervousness has gone high on Friday and has ended the day 21 per cent higher and thus reflects the nervousness among the trading fraternity.  Asian indices such as Hang Seng, Seoul Composite, Jakarta Composite, Shanghai Composite have shown the signals for commencement for the down trend.
Derivatives Update
Volume in Nifty future continues to remain on the higher side and around 12.14 lakh shares were added in open interest with an increase in the cost of carry indicating long accumulation.


On the option front, implied volatility has further increased marginally, pointing towards uncertainty at higher levels and thus volatility will be order of the day. Market will be looking for the direction in next few days due to fiasco caused due to Dubai Debt .

Moreover the company is expected to have an EPS of Rs 22 for FY10, which results in a PE of over 8 times, at the upper band and thus no room is left for the appreciation and one be better off by investing in the secondary market.

Verdict
One can subscribe in the IPO at the lower band as only than some room is left for the IPO to show some upmove. Even ICRA has assigned an IPO Grade 2 to the company as it considers that company has below average fundamentals and thus one can either apply at lower band or can refrain from applying for this India IPO in construction segment and with recent Dubai debt fiasco, one may see further impact on the construction companies as land prices are going to be effected to a great extent. Impact of Dubai Debt on World Markets

However the fact to be considered is that market has  clocked huge volumes and mind it that it was the second highest market turnover and highest ever F&O turnover at Rs 1.59 lakh crore.Aggressive selling in Tata Steel and selected banking stocks and other heavy weights in the later half were the main culprit for the free fall witnessed today.

On the option front, very good addition of open interest was seen in 5000-5300 calls and 4700-5000 puts, indicating that the market will continue to face selling pressure on higher side until Nifty closes above 5200.

Reliance Industries gave the requisite push to the market due to its offer to buy a controlling stake in U.S-based bankrupt chemicals maker LyondellBasell. The stock ended up 3.31% on a heavy volume of 12.6 lakh shares. However one can wait  taking the delivery of this stock till 27 Nov when the stock goes ex bonus. Fitch sees no immediate impact on RIL from LyondellBasell offer.

Today market was up courtesy strong global cues, rally in European stocks and the U.S index futures. The draggers in the market were telecom, realty and IT space.  BSE advance-decline ratio stood at 1.3:1.

One has to keep an eye on Nifty 5101 level because a cross over of this level means that Nifty is heading for 5149-5175-5250 levels. One can use the opportunity to buy in the market in any down trend as Nifty has a strong support at 4700 levels. Nifty is presently enjoying the support level of 4749.

If Sensex crosses the level of 17115 level, than one is likely to see the level of 17400-17500 levels. However one must make sure that if Sensex levels of 16,000 is broken than it can fall to the levels of  15,743-15,330-14,920.

However a word of caution is that negative divergence in weekly oscillators means that index lacks momentum over the medium term time-frame. However when one tracks the global indicators namely CBOE volatility index as it has declined to an intra-week low of 21.6 but it has perked up towards the end of the week as global equity began a mild correction. On option front, implied volatility has decreased by around 150-200 basis points, indicating a positive bias till the expiry.

Fibonacci Series | Fibonacci Retracement | Fibonacci Sequence Chart



Everything in life follows patterns and same also applies to stock prices. One can get the share prices upward and downward moving levels depending on the Fibonacci levels. Fibonacci numbers were developed by Leonardo Fibonacci and it is simply a series of numbers that when you add the previous numbers you come up with the next number in the sequence.

Here is an example:1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55. Stocks will often pull back or retrace a percentage of the previous move before reversing. These Fibonacci retracements often occur at three levels – 38.2%, 50%, and 61.8%. Actually, the 50% level really does not have anything to do with Fibonacci, but traders use this level because of the tendency of stocks to reverse after retracing half of the previous move.

See how when you add 1 and 2 you get 3? Now add 2 and 3 and you get 5, and so on. So how does this sequence help you as a swing trader?Well, the relationship between these numbers is what gives us the common Fibonacci retracements pattern in technical analysis.

Today volatility was the star of the day as shares lost ground and same can be attributed to global cues with reports coming that Brazils will curb capital inflows and will tax them 2% of their investments in the market. Same move is being contemplated for India too as we have a record inflow from FIIs. Trend of Nifty is down and same is also confirmed by the option data. As we study option front we find that implied volatility has increased by around 150-200 basis points, indicating lack of clarity and uncertainty at higher levels.

Bulls tried to push the market beyond 5050, but aggressive selling in metal, banking and realty shares failed them and pulled the market down.As a net result BSE Sensex closed at 16,786, down 213 points or 1.25% and the S&P CNX Nifty fell 66 points or 1.30% to 4,989.

GLOBAL UPDATE
US stocks extended a global drop as concern grew that the rally has outpaced the prospects for economic growth. The Dow Jones, S&P 500 and NASDAQ fell 0.90%, 1.34% and 1.58%, respectively. Technology stocks drove a broad-based US sell-off as a brokerage took a dim view of demand prospects for the semiconductor sector. Bank of America-Merrill Lynch cut its 2010 growth outlook for the semiconductor industry on concerns about a rising inventory glut. It downgraded 10 stocks, including Intel Corp, Texas Instruments Inc and Marvell Technology Corp.
