1. Indian stock market looked promising initially but profit booking at higher levels led to market ending in negative territory. One need not fear as 200-point decline from any rally's peak is healthy for a stock market. However this rally was a bear market rally.
2. Sensex closed at 14,777, down by 165 points and Nifty closed at 4433, down 43 points.
3. CNX Midcap and BSE Smallcap indices lost 0.3% each and only sector which saw buying interest was oil & gas and realty sector shares.
4. The sectors which dragged Sensex was metal, consumer durables, and IT sector stocks
5. The stocks which lost the most on BSE were TCS, Tata Steel, Reliance Communications, SBI and ACC and stocks which stole the lime light at BSE were ONGC, DLF and RIL.
