1. Every body heaved a sigh of relief with positive global cues which enabled market to remain in good spirits and as a result Sensex closed at 15,757, up 413 points from the previous close and y closed at 4761, up 114 points.
2. Midcaps and smallcaps managed to salvage their prestige with CNX Midcap index gaining 1.5% and BSE Smallcap index gaining 0.8%.
3. Stars of the day were ICICI Bank, Ranbaxy, JP Associates and HUL etc and losers were Ambuja Cement, Maruti and Reliance Energy.
