1. It was a breather as market had a better day today against the expectations.
2. Gap down opening was seen due to weak global cues, but later recovery was seen due to Asian markets and same was also helped by aggressive short covering which pulled the market up.
3. Fed rate cut has been seen on the rumor of Fed rate cut which is likely to occur in its meeting on March 18.
4. Sensex closed at 15,923, down 51 points from the previous close and Nifty closed at 4800, up 28 points.
5. Top Sensex gainers include Bajaj Auto, Bharti Airtel and Tata Steel, while biggest losers on the index included L&T, BHEL and Maruti.
