1. It was a tough, news-heavy week for the Indian market as it had to digest an RBI policy, US Fed rate cut, F&O expiry, results and short covering.
2. However the week has ended on a positive note today.
3. On the weekly numbers, Sensex was down 0.7% and Nifty down 1%.
4. The pain was more for the BSE Smallcaps and CNX Midcaps Index, down 3.3% and 3.8% respectively.
5. BSE Capital Goods Index was down 5.8%, BSE Realty Index down 1.8%.
6. The gainers were the BSE Auto and BSE IT Index both up almost 3.3% and BSE Metals Index was up 1.8%.
