1. Stock Market Diary for last trading day:The market had the quietest, steady session and closed on a flat note today. Sensex closed at 20206, down 9 points and Nifty at 6079, 1 point down from the previous close. The CNX Midcaps Index was up 1.5% and BSE Smallcaps Index was up 2.1% The market breadth was positive with advances at 916 against declines of 303 on the NSE. Top Nifty gainers included Nalco, Unitech, Tata Steel, Tata Power and Sail while losers included Wipro, Bajaj Auto, TCS, Bharti Airtel and Suzlon.
2. Weekly market Update:Despite weak global cues the Indian market stayed firm for the week. It was good gains and the weekly figures are: Sensex up 5.4%, Nifty 5.4%, CNX Midcaps 6.6% and BSE Smallcaps 9.12%.
