1. It is always better to invest with some clear cut time frame in mind. Arbitrarily investing for getting a quick return from the stock market may land you up in thick soup unless you have made it as a profession.
2. Ideally a time frame of one year is good and if the investment in stock market can provide you with a return of 20-25 percent than the returns are good as it is giving you appreciation and keeping you way ahead of the inflation which eat into one's savings if ideally kept in the stock market.
3. I remember since 12 May, 2006 markets have appreciated significantly and that too in a meagre period of 1 year and 5 months.
