How PPF Rate of Interest has Changed?

No return is without risk and even provident fund (PF) return has also changed which is considered most safest as it can not be even attached by court order.

Notwithstanding above; have a look at PF return which was 12% in the year 2000.

Consider the changes ever since:

  • Reduced to 11% in January 2000
  • Reduced to 9.5% in March 2001
  • Reduced to 9 % in March 2002
  • Reduced to 8% in March 2003
