Periodic Call Auction Process

One must be aware about the illiquid stock as getting into the illiquid stocks means that one can only trade through Periodic call auction process.

As per BSE website; all equity stocks which are classified as illiquid will be part of Periodic Call Auction Session. Periodic call auction sessions of one hour each shall be conducted daily throughout the trading hours with the first session starting at 9:30 am and last session ending at 3.30 pm as per the details given below:

» Order Matching
» Buffer Period

How order is executerd in peiodic auction process Thus the moral of the whole story is that one should avoid trading in illiquid stocks as one may not even have the ample time to get the order executed.
