Arvind Boolell who is Foreign Minister of Mauritius has stated that they have made offers to India with respect to tax treaty revision. He further added that they will ensure compliance with best international practices.
Arvind Boolell stated that they are discussing issues of mutual economic interest with India. Meeting of Joint working group will take place between August 27 and 28."
Hope Mauritius always toe the line of India as we can not afford to see this island country becoming a stooge of China as great dragon is on the look out to establish sea bases in and around Mauritius to make its presence felt in Arabian sea and Indian ocean.
Definitely this is the result of GAAR threat imposed by India which for the time being has been put in cold storage for atleast on year.
