How to use this facility of online viewing of income tax paid without visiting Income Tax site?

Income tax paid can be seen in your online bank account by accessing tax credit statement (Form 26AS) in your online banking platform. As a thumb rule, you should have your PAN no registered with your bank in which you have Internet Banking Account. Login to your Internet banking account and search for the Link titled as “View Tax Credit Statement (Form 26 AS)”.

It is commendable that to use this facility it is not necessary that the income tax should be paid through the bank in which you have internet banking account and no fees will be charged for this service.
