Yahoo is planning to launch a country specific publisher advt network for India and for this aspect it is tying up Indian ad networks. It is going to tap online advertisement market in India as it is planning to tie up with other prospective publishers to consolidate advertising inventory. This will help target user to get a wider audience baqse to target.
However this exercise it could have had started way back in 2007 when it had acquired 35% stake in Tyroo in an all cash deal in 2007 and later on took an exit route. This deal could have had given it a foot print in India. Moroever yahoo has handed over its search marketing business to Microsoft and now it needs to be seen that how much seriousness it shows in this segment to counter Google Adsense.
