Nukkad was probably the best TV serials produced in India and was very popular in India during the times of 1986-1987 when watching a movie on television or Chitrahar was a craze. The present generation definitely need to be shown this serial as it shows the struggle of urban youth to make their living. It was co-directed by Kundan Shah and Saeed Akhtar Mirza, and was written by Prabodh Joshi. The characters meet at the local street corner which is called as Nukkad in Hindi every evening where they share their slice of life with each other.
