1. Since recession is overtaking the global economy, thus the chances of fraud from e-route will increase substantially and thus in light of above am posting a few tips to be followed for online banking or while receiving the payments throught the PayPal.
(a) As a rule remember to never click a link in an email sent by any financial institute, bank or Paypal.
(b) As a thumbrule type in the Name of the Site Yourself and you will reach the real site.
(c) Do not assess online financial transactions from cybercafes. If still want to assess than leave a comment with query and I will tell you how we can safely assess the same from Cyber Cafe.
(d) Do not click on any email asking you to verify any link from these financial institutes as they do not undertake any such action.
(e) If in doubt remember to contact the bank or the related company directly.
(f) last but not least is a tip for US comrades and same is related to tax season: As tax season is just around the corner here in the U.S., the IRS email scam will start soon. Remember, the IRS is a fuddy duddy organization. They don’t send out correspondence via email. So if you receive an email from the “IRS”, ignore it. They don’t send them out ever.
2. If an individual is alert and do not jump the gun than do remember to check a padlock sign which represents the secured site and all secured sites have HttpS and normal sites have Http in its address bar.
