1. I made sure that all the jewellery of my wife she had got during her marriage be sold off to the same jeweller from whom the purchase was made.
2. I was surprised that a reputed jeweller of Chandigarh Sawan Jewellers of Sector no 35 refused to give us cash for the purchases made from him. He also knew in his heart that the gold given by him was of below standard and I had to sell the same to some other jeweller which resulted the loss for me.
3. Later on I bought a fresh range of my wife's jewellery from Tanishq. Though I paid more amount but I was a satisfied man that now the gold held with my wife was of the given purity as stated by the Tanishq Dealer.
4. So my advice is to buy from branded jewellers, though it will cost more but the extra price paid is worth the material received as their designs are of much better standard than the local jewellers.
