1.A few precautions in your house can ensure non entry of reptiles especially in rainy season.These tips are from the horses mouth i.e GURU who has caught approx 1.5 lakh snakes.
(a)Fix rubber strips/wooden strips/Plastic electricity wires covering(phatty)on the doors bottom and ensure no gap between door and the floor.
(b)Use atleast kerosene in the cleaning of the house floor atleast once in fortnight.
(c)Pour Kerosene around 100 Ml in the flushes,so that the stench of kerosene remains in the pipes and no reptile will come through it.
(d)Use Kersoli Black Liquid or Black Phenyl mixed with used engine oil in ratio of 20:80 and make atleast a foot of lining with it outside the perimetre of the house.
2.Follow these tips and keep your house free of these dangerous reptiles.Definitely wear your shoes after checking as it is the hotspot for reptiles to hide.
3.Its not that I had not installed rubber strips at the bottom of our doors but the culprit was one of the doors which gave entry to the reptile due to short circuiting by the carpenter who left this door as it was behind one of the showcases.So recheck your doors and happily enjoy your life.
4.Hope everybody learns from my experience and we are not required again to search for atleast a snake in the house.
