Pantaloon Denies Future Capital, Future Generali Stake Sale: 12/7/2011
Pantaloon Retail (India) Ltd. denied media reports which said that it has closed a deal to sell its stake in Future Capital Holdings to Deccan Chronicle Holdings Limited and also another deal to sell its insurance business. Pantaloon gave this statement after the Economic Times reported that Pantaloon has sold its stake in Future Capital to Deccan Chronicle for INR 6 billion to INR 7 billion. Pantaloon also denied reports of selling its 26% stake in Future Generali India Life Assurance Company Limited to Industrial Investment Trust Limited for INR 2.5 billion to INR 3 billion.
