Air India to float bonds worth Rs 7,500 Crore

Air India to float bonds worth Rs 7,500 Crore as a part of its debt restructuring programme and same has been cleared by the Group of Ministers (GoM), headed by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee

It is pertinent to note that final approval will come from the Cabinet. This is good for AirIndia as Air India’s debt restructuring plan had hit a hurdle after the banks had refused to convert part of the short-term debt.
