Insecticides India (IILTD) is into the business of manufacturing and distribution of plant protection chemicals and household pesticides formulations. Incorporated as a private limited company on Dec. 18, 1996, it went public on Oct. 29, 2001. The company has been promoted by the Aggarwal family. Until 2006, the company concentrated on agrochemicals; but since the last financial year, it has introduced household pesticides. The product range includes more than 80 types of insecticides, fungicides, weedicides, herbicides and plant growth regulators for all types of crops, and also household pesticides. The company caters mainly to the domestic market.
It has more than 70 brands. The largest selling brands are Lethal, Victor, Thimet, Indan 4g and Kaiser. The manufacturing units are located in Chopanki (Rajasthan) and Samba (Jammu) with a total manufacturing capacity of 6,000,000 liters of emulsifiable concentrate (EC), 2,900 MT of wettable dispersable powder (WDP) and 10,500 MT of granules per annum. Both the manufacturing units and corporate office are ISO 9001:2001 certified. In 2007, expansion was completed at the Samba plant and a technical plant commenced production in September 2007. The company has more than 3,000 distributors and 40,000 dealers throughout India. It has a subsidiary called Advance Crop solutions. The registered office is at 401/402, Lusa Tower, Azadpur Commercial Complex, Azadpur, Delhi-110033.
