This is one of the trading strategy where one can trade as per book closures and record dates. One just need to keep tab on the quarterly results of the select companies and if one feels that company is going to come out with good results, one can buy the stocks of that company beforehand as one can be rewarded in 4 ways :
(a) Bonus
(b) Price appreciation
(c) Stock Split - increase in volume pushes price.
(d) Rights subscription at lower rates.
(e) Dividend
However it is advised that one uses this strategy in blue chip and Nifty 50 stocks only as these good companies rarely fail if they have done well in their quarters preceding.
