Indian stock market is consolidating for the time being and one need to watch the level of Nifty 5075 which is acting as a stiff resistance for the market time being and on the lower side keep an eye on Nifty 4999 levels which can act as a strong support for the market. Market is consolidating for a few days before it makes a big move i.e. either in upward or down ward direction. However one has to be on the alert as bears can strike any time as Nifty 20 dma is below 50 dma which is bearish, and the uptrend is showing falling volumes which means that the bulls are getting tired. Today share market after moving sideways in a tight range throughout the session, the Indian market finally ended modestly lower on Wednesday, weighed down by profit taking amid mixed global cues.

The benchmark BSE closed at 16,999, down 52 points or 0.30% and the S&P CNX Nifty fell 8 points or 0.15% to 5,055. However, second-line stocks witnessed good buying support.

On the positive side one can heave a sigh of relief as market participants are projecting a target of Nifty 7000 levels with in an year or two and same is feasible as we are just 19% short of the previous highs.

Global Market Update 
US stocks slipped, pulling the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index down from a 13-month high, as technology companies slid after profit forecasts at Autodesk Inc. and Salesforce.com Inc. trailed some analyst estimates. The Dow Jones, S&P 500 and NASDAQ fell 0.11%, 0.05% and 0.58%, respectively. Autodesk, the biggest maker of engineering-design software, slid 10% after saying job losses in core markets are making the company’s recovery “challenging. The market’s decline was limited as Bank of America Corp. rallied after John Paulson’s hedge fund said the shares may almost double.
