1. BSE Sensex NSE Nifty online share trading tips: In order to curb panic in the market RBI announced a host of measures including 100 basis points cut in CRR to 6.5% and its effect is seen in form of consolidation in market. In addition to the RBI measures, SEBI also increased the margin requirement for exchange traded equity derivatives to protect the investors from high volatility. However these all are short term measures and thus this rally at best can take Nifty till 3600 level. Support for Sensex stands firm at 9700 and one must keep watch on the Nifty and Sensex resistance levels as discussed in the previous post. A technical bounce is in offing. Avoid shorting arbitrarily as stocks are over sold.

2. IPO analysis: An analysis of IPOs between March 2007 and March 2008 suggest that 76 out of the 83 IPOs are trading below their offer price. It is also pertinent to note that 13 IPO were withdrawn which speaks of the gravity of situation. Thus had as a new IPO allotee you would have had benefitted had you booked gains on the listing day. However do not lose heart as still new IPOs are performing better than peers in the same sector.
