1. I take the opportunity to compliment the ICICI tech staff who have gone a step further by introducing the virtual key board which a person can use while assessing the details of the bank account while using internet.
2. This is a quality step as it will reduce the chances of frauds and hacking of the bank accounts for all the users assessing accounts from internet cafes.
3. Though people must be taking due care by removing the passwords from cache etc but what an innocent guy would have had done if some password tracking software or a webcam was prying on the keystrokes.
4. Now with virtual keyboard one can type the password bu using the keyboard available on the screen and thus the chances of fraud are reduced to minimum while assessing the account.
5. Remember that internet assessing the bank accounts is taking off in a big way and last year only 14% of customers walked physically into ICICI bank premises and it is feasible thanks to internet banking and ATM network.
